Miami Dade Animal Services is responsible for the animals of one the toughest city in the United States in regards to the overpopulation of animals. Hundreds of animals are at the shelter in any point in time and these funds can really help alleviate the problems of operating a run-down shelter with 34,000 homeless pets a year. Dedicated volunteers and an amazing staff can do the best they can, but with budget cuts, there's only so much that one can do to solve every problem.
