With global warming in every ones minds these days I find it interesting to weigh the media and that of those who just believe it is the natural shift of the earth and that the volcanoes are moving. I think that taking action to take care of our planet is very important especially since I live here. Being into organics and natural remedies it is a good thing that we watch what chemicals go into our bodies and our environment. The American Indians only took what they needed and gave back to mother earth and could teach us a lesson or two. Composting and replenishing the soil helps maintain our survival.
Not filling up landfills with plastics and other items that can not go back into the soil is a concern. Our air and having it pollutant free is a major health concern. Our food and water is filled with chemicals. Children with Asthma and Thyroid problems in adults have dramatically risen through the past years and as far as I can see is a red flag.
Going green is a great idea just for our general health. Using solar power and alternate power that does not pollute our every breath is a needed and wanted thing. Not having dangerous prescription drugs on the market and being allowed natural remedies and vitamins in insurance plans would definitely enhance our well being.
Our government who has taken on the job of being our dictators, our rulers and what is best for us. They have decided that we should drink polluted water laced with chemicals, chemicals should be in our foods, allow dangerous drugs on the market, allow our air to be polluted and charge us taxes for it.
Our country is one of the most powerful in the world. Our current government can if they so wished could put a stop to all of this in an instant. They could demand that we start immediately putting alternatives into action and supporting solar, hydrogen cars etc., It seems however that they are leaving it up to us while they are busy playing war games in other countries like it is a video game.
So, taking this in mind one has to wonder if this global warming business is all a hoax.
It makes me wonder because it seems our government won't do anything that betters our health. They wait until there is great public outcry, a petition, or something that they are forced to confront by the masses.
It makes me wonder because they are too interested in off shore drilling. Too busy looking to other countries to invade for oil rights. They won't tax oil company profits and put caps on costs.
It makes me wonder because Bush comes from a family of oil tycoons. It makes me wonder if he would lose money if solar power, hydrogen, water, wind power took over from oil.
It makes me wonder that they need to do offshore drilling because it should take years to come up with solutions (they mean so they can figure out how they are going to come up with a profit) while we have solutions already.
It makes me wonder because if global warming were a risk we would be working on action plans in case of high health risk.
It makes me wonder because Al Gore the king of stopping global warming is not living up to what he preaches.
Al Gores' home is still guzzling energy. It is using 10% more than the prior year. He is using 213,210 Kilowatt hours. That is enough to supply 232 average American homes for a month. His recent remodel to make his home more environmentally friendly just kind of panned out.
Gore made more than 100 million dollars with his video An Inconvenient Truth, talks and investments he made due to the hysteria across the country on global warming and yet this Oscar winner, Grammy winner and Nobel Peace Prize winner just cannot seem to get the idea that he has enough money to buy a zillion solar panels.
I guess maybe global warming just isn't such top priority as we have been led to believe.
Maybe we better see what the big boys have been getting into while we have been preoccupied in this mass hysteria!
