Women Love Skinny Vintage Ties for a Fashionable Look All Their Own

Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend, but so are skinny ties, especially vintage skinny ties. Why is that? Well, narrow neckties look better on women because they generally have smaller frames. This is why slimmer men and men of smaller stature look wearing them, too. However, modern thin neckwear is produced for men and is often too long for women. Not so with vintage skinny neckties.
Many from the Rat Pack era are 50 to 55 inches long, making them perfect with which to accessorize an outfit. Perhaps part of the reason ties which come from the 50’s and 60’s are not longer than 58 inches is because the manufacturers didn’t think to cater to big and tall men back then. Also, it appears that the waist line for men’s pants was higher than it is today, and the accompanying neckties were an acceptable length.
Furthermore, thin neckwear has smaller knots due to the slender nature of the ties, and this translates into great looking knots just for women. No woman wants to be seen with a fat knot! The knots match the slim ties. For even smaller knots, women can tie a Four-in-Hand knot and stay away from the Windsor knot.
Last but not least, vintage narrow ties are unique in their own right. They have unusual patterns, designs and novelty themes not seen on today’s neckwear, so anyone who wants to express their individuality through neckties will be very pleased with the sheer variety available. They will be sure to find ties which match their interests in every color under the sun. These versatile accessories really are a favorite for women who enjoy a fun, stylish and sophisticated look.
